1. Summer Love in 69.
This song says it all doesn't it. I wasn't born in the 60's so everything
that I base my knowledge on are family experiences and taking classes
in college called "Decade of the 60's" I dreamt one night
driving to Woodstock and what my adventures might have been going.
Close your eyes
and imagine a VW bus driving alone from the west to New York to experience
a movement that defined an entire genereation. Even if you didn't go,
you were changed.
2. My Closet
Hippie Chick
One of my most favorites and most cursed songs ever written. I have
played this song on stage and have had power outages, blown speakers,
cooked amps and pedals go out on me. One memorable time would be breaking
4 out of 6 strings on one stroke. My homage to the great musicians of
the past were telling me to "pay my dues" before trying on
stage. But, I'll be honest I'm still nervous to play it on stage even
though I haven't had a mishap in 2 years. (Knock on wood)
3. Thanks Mr.
Brubeck
Need I say more??? Dave Brubeck, amazing jazz man, Take Five this is
my take of take Five. I saw him in person, sat 10 feet away and just
drooled as the keys and skins spun together into a web of sound. Thank
you again Mr. Brubeck.
4. Lizard Fish
It's called Lizard Fish... I've had people come up to be and say "What
do you say? Crazy Bitch?" I thought about that... put the lyrics
together and "Ocean tides push him aside, Crazy Bitch comes for
the ride." just didn't sound right.
It's about Darwin and the evolution of man. "Now there's man Lizard
Fish, Dogs and Cats Lizard Fish, Birds in the sky, Lizard Fish, Fish
in the sea, Lizard Fish. Lizard Fish." it's all about where we
came from.
5. Epic Journey
It's about remembering the past, watching the present as a new part
in your life changes and the instrumental is the epic journey that you
will go though to the next stage in your life. Very simple, a cry for
the past living the present lifting your head to the future.
6. New Ocean
Planet
A trance combination, the silence and sounds of what a new ocean planet
must sound like when created. The life brewing underneath the surface.
Just flying in a intergalactic spaceship skimming the water and flying
away
7. Falling Away
Just a simple classic break up song. Nothing more nothing less.
8. Undertow
Internal rhythms of the soul, an under current that sends us into a
rhythmatic beat. Something that flows through my head daily.
9. Sweden in
Spring
Well, not truly knowing what Sweden in spring looks like, but being
there in winter and meeting the people and seeing the passion they carry
within them in amazing. I can only imagine the excitement and festivities
they have during Spring.
10. Train Robbery
Well, that was my attempt of a little folklore of robbing a train. Did
it succeed or just suck? Who knows. But I had fun doing it regardless.
Peace!
